Join the OCE at COP28!
As the world converges for COP 28, the Office for Climate Education (OCE) stands at the forefront of catalyzing transformative action through education. The OCE by partnering with the Ministry of Education of the UAE, has actively contributed to the curation and facilitation of the Education Pavilion — the first one in the history of COP. This collaboration also extends to the organization of the TeachersCOP within the Educator's Voice initiative, an impactful event aimed to highlight to global politicians and decision-makers the work of teachers, the challenges they face and the key role they play in the global climate response. As well as the translation of all OCE pedagogical resources into Arabic as a legacy for teachers across the region.
Furthermore, as the co-coordinator of the Pillar 2 of the Greening Education Partnership (GEP), the OCE will participate in the GEP's first Annual Meeting on December 8—a special day dedicated to Youth, Children, Education, and Skills within the Greening Education Hub. This strategic alignment underscores the significance of education for transformative climate change action, marking a crucial milestone in advancing educational initiatives within COP 28.
